How much will my treatment cost?

The treatment cost is by area and the face has been divided into areas:

Nose £125.00

Cheeks £175.00

Full face £250.00

What will my skin look like after treatment?

Following treatment patients might experience the following: (mild) discomfort, redness, swelling, dryness, blistering, microcrusts, hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation (in some cases this can take up to 12 months to improve).

Skin will feel warm post-treatment but should calm down quite quickly; this can vary due according to individual skin type and sensitivity. In the days following treatment some larger vessels may still appear to be visible – this is a normal occurrence and the vessels will gradually be broken down by the body and fade away. Some dryness and tiny microcrusts may occur over a few days and may last from 2-4 weeks, this is a normal response. Downtime for treatment on legs and body areas will be longer than that of the face, which tends to recover much faster.

How long will a treatment take?

Treatment is very quick and should only take around 15-20 minutes.

Does ThermaVein Treatment Hurt

Patients will see thread veins immediately disappear as the treatment is administered. Depending on how the veins respond 1-3 sessions may be required. This treatment does stop not the formation of new veins and should these appear, they can be treated in the same way.

Can "blue" veins be treated?

No, it is not possible to treat these veins as they are vital to the body's blood supply.

Can treated veins resurface?

No, once a successful treatment has been completed the treated vein cannot resurface as it will cease to exist.  If someone is prone to the condition then other veins may appear in similar areas but never the same vein.

What happens to the veins after treatment?

The sealed vein wall will naturally be absorbed by the body.

How long before I will see a result?

Results are instant, the treatment is very visual and you will notice the veins disappear as they are treated.

Will the veins come back?

The treatment will removal visible signs of the condition and in many cases it will not recur.  There are a wide range of underlying causes to the condition which may lead to new areas developing.  If this happens a top treatment will clear the condition.  If there are concerns of recurrence we generally advise a review 6-8 weeks after treatment if possible and a yearly review can stop any new areas developing.

Are there any known side effects?

Unlike with other treatments, such s Laser or IPL, there are no known side effects.  You will not suffer from bruising, scarring or similar and there is no downtime - many people return to work immediate after treatment.  In additional there is no requirement to avoid sunlight, as with other treatments, although we do recommend sun protctor as a general skin care advice.  Our treatment does not burn and is very accurate, with most people feel a little pinching sensation.
